If the suspense of waiting for a glimpse of the 2015 Nissan Murano is leaving you breathless, go ahead and take a big gulp of air—Nissan has released a sneak peek at the redesigned crossover before its debut on April 16 at the New York International Auto Show in New York City.
Lasting a frustratingly short nine seconds and no longer, the sneak peek video still manages to illustrate the 2015 Murano’s striking bodylines and tasteful curves without giving too much away, previewing a crossover SUV that is sure to stop you in your tracks. The quick video is also previewing something new for Nissan as a whole—a new design language the Japanese carmaker plans on using in designing all future production vehicles.
With the brief glimpse we got, we here at Blackburn Nissan are sure that the 2015 Murano debut will impress everyone, especially since it will feature more room, an opulent interior, and more technology than ever before. Do you agree? Share your thoughts with us below by leaving a comment!

Have you enjoyed having a rearview backup camera in your car? Has your rearview camera saved you from an accident? Nissan recently introduced the Smart rearview mirror at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Nissan hopes to introduce this new piece of technology worldwide in 2015.
The Smart rearview mirror is unlike any other mirror on the market. With the Smart mirror, drivers can change between a regular mirror and a LCD display with the switch of a button. With the LCD display, drivers will get a crisp and clean display of the outside environment. Nissan’s biggest challenge with the mirror was to prohibit drivers from getting an overlapping image. Nissan was able to eliminate an overlapping image by designing a unique LCD monitor and custom mirror.
The goal of the new mirror/monitor function is to give drivers a better sense of their surrounding environments to reduce accidents and increase safety. For example, if you have a taller passenger riding in your backseat, your passenger is likely to be in-view when you use your rearview mirror. The Smart rear view mirror uses a camera mounted to the rear window to prevent visibility issues from a tall passenger or stacked luggage.
At Blackburn Nissan, we are proud to be a part of a company who really puts advanced technology to the test. We want our drivers to experience safety and comfort in their new Nissan vehicle. To learn more about Nissan’s Smart Rearview Mirror, stop by www.nissannews.com.
Cars.com recently released their “Top 10 Cheapest New Cars You Can Buy” list last week. On that list were two of the most affordable cars on the market, the Nissan Sentra and Nissan Versa Sedan. To create the list, Cars.com studied sticker prices, fuel efficiency, and destination fees. This was the first time Cars.com has done this specific study since 2008.
Overall, Cars.com wanted to let consumers know which vehicles offer the best bang for the buck. They were looking for vehicles that were not only efficient and affordable, but vehicles that still contain great interior features and performance. Both the Nissan Sentra and Versa are able to offer just that!
The Sentra was described as offering a “class above” look and feel. Cars.com noted its efficient 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that is able to get EPA-estimated 34 combined mpg*. The Sentra was also noted for its excellent interior features including a Bose Premium Audio System, NissanConnect™ with Navigation and iPhone integration, and more. The Versa was noted for featuring a 1.6-liter engine that is able to get an EPA-estimated 40 mpg on the highway*. The Versa also stood out for its comfortable interior and luxurious look.
Be sure to check out the Nissan Sentra and Versa at our dealership near Jackson, Mississippi. At Blackburn Nissan, we have an excellent lineup of new vehicles to choose from!
