Nissan wowed the masses at the 2014 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) by unveiling two new models that both represent Nissan’s goal of connecting with more drivers than ever: the 2015 Murano and 2015 Versa Sedan.
The 2015 Nissan Murano made its world debut, standing triumphant as the new halo crossover/SUV for the brand and looking more than a little bit like a bigger, badder version of the Sport Sedan Concept in its bold orange coat. The Murano gets the V-motion front fascia, LED boomerang lights, and the floating roof that have become such an integral part of Nissan’s dynamic new design direction.
“Murano owners live in an environment – home, work and car – that is beautiful, well-designed and efficiently run. They are social and embrace technology,” said Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President, Chief Planning Officer (CPLO) of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. “The new Murano had to embrace all of these values, while also taking a major leap forward in terms of its ‘Wow’ factor.”
Nissan also unleashed the 2015 Versa Sedan, which is already on its way to showrooms around the country (including ours right here at Blackburn Nissan). The new Versa Sedan will sport an upgraded exterior, including a new front end with larger headlights and chrome-plated grille, and an interior that still boasts more interior room than a great many midsize sedans. With a starting MSRP of $11,990 and fuel economy up to 31 mpg city/40 mpg highway/35 mpg combined, the new Versa sedan is a surefire hit for those looking to get new car quality without the new car price.
