If the new Nissan Titan were your friend, it wouldn’t be the kind of friend to suggest you sit on the couch all night and watch an entire season of The Walking Dead. Yes, those kinds of friends are cool, but the Titan would be friend who convinces you to rock climb, build a house, and get outside!
The Titan hasn’t been redesigned since 2003 and this time around, it’s ready to play and ready to work. Nissan unveiled the new Titan, with its XD Crew Cab, at the Detroit Auto Show. In this form, it can seat up six passengers.
Nissan was proud to show off the 5.0-liter Cummins diesel powertrain, lending the Titan a total of 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. These are the kind of numbers that will serve you well for a trip to the lake or to the lumberyard.
Making it a veritably modern truck, the redesigned Nissan Titan comes outfitted with a host of safety features such as “surround-view camera system, blind-spot warning, and moving-object detection,” according to Consumer Reports. We at Blackburn Nissan can’t wait to take a new Titan out for a spin!
We at Blackburn Nissan have great news: the Titan is back and better than ever. Nissan recently debuted its new lineup of next-generation full-sized pickups. Showcasing rugged design, impressive capability, and much improved efficiency, the Nissan engineers didn’t hold back.
The 2016 Nissan Titan lineup will consist of several new cab, bed, powertrain, and model configurations such as the Titan Crew Cab and Titan King Cab, as well as the 4×4 and 4×2 models. Engines range from V8 and V6 gasoline and diesel engines. According to Nissan, the new 5.0-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel is also available.
“The full-size pickup segment in North America is a market where Nissan sees an unmet need–the towing and hauling power of a heavy-duty with the drivability and comfort of a light-duty,” said Fred Diaz, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing. “Nissan is coming back into the market full-force with this new Titan XD, which does just that. We think that full-size truck buyers are going to take notice.”
The new lineup will feature the best in towing, utility, and convenience, such as RearView Monitor with Trailer Guides, Around View® Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), Trailer Light Check system, and Blind Spot Warning. With this new technology, rugged design, and impressive powertrains, the new Titan is putting other pickups to shame.
The new 2015 Sentra is creating quite a stir as one of the most popular sedans on the market. Aside from incredible performance and value, one often overlooked feature on the redesigned Sentra is the great interior design. Why not be comfortable when sitting behind the wheel?
Nissan recently announced the pricing of the new model, as well as some important details about the Sentra. “For 2015, the Sentra lineup has been simplified and we’ve added value to all grades,” said Derrick Hatami, Vice President of Sales for Nissan North America, Inc. The 2015 Sentra interior design features optional leather, heated seats, a 5.0-inch display, 6-speaker audio system, and SiriusXM radio among other things.
The new Sentra comes in six different grades, ranging from the S 6MT to the SL Xtronic. The S 6MT is the standard model for practical-oriented buyers, and the SL Xtronic features the latest technology and incredible luxury. All models come with a USB port, Bluetooth®, illuminated steering wheel controls, Smart Auto headlights, and other new features.
With all this and more, you know you want to get a 2015 Sentra from Blackburn Nissan.
There’s nothing like taking a tuned car ‘round the touge run with tires screaming at every corner. In Motorhead magazine’s latest video feature, Takada and his crew took several racing teams for a special hillclimb event at the Mazda Turnpike of Japan’s Hakone Mountain, and the result was just pure fun for us gearheads.
Our favorite run came from professional D1 GP driver Kawabata Masato, who muscled his Toyo Tires R35 Nissan GT-R drift car in a nail-biting fifth gear, full throttle around the frighteningly-high Hakone bridge!
Veteran Super GT and D1 GP star Nob Taniguchi put on a good show in an attempt to one-up Masato in his tuned HKS GT600 GT-R, but we doubt anything could have trumped that epic drift.
Check out the video below for the full recap of the Motorhead Hill Climb. If that Nissan GT-R looked as mighty to you as it did us, come give it an up-close look at Blackburn Nissan.
