In around three years from now, expect to see Nissan vehicles on the market fueled by hydrogen. Only, these Nissan vehicles will differ greatly from the current hydrogen fuel-cell models offered by competitors. And that difference is ethanol.
There are vehicles on the road now that use ethanol as a fuel. But the upcoming hydrogen-powered Nissan vehicles will use the ethanol as a hydrogen source, converting the ethanol to hydrogen and then using that to generate electricity.
This approach offers a number of benefits that current hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles don’t have. The first benefit is that Nissan vehicles won’t have giant hydrogen tanks because they won’t have to store hydrogen (only ethanol). This has been a struggle for other automakers, forcing them to compromise cabin space. The second benefit is that Nissan vehicles won’t need hydrogen filling stations. An ethanol infastructure is already in place.
The range of the upcoming hydrogen-powered Nissan vehicles will be around 500 miles. We look forward to driving these eco-friendly cars!

Nissan acted as the official global sponsor of the Union of European Football Association Championship League final, which took place from May 26th-28th. As an official sponsor, Nissan supplied the event with over a hundred electric vehicles for transporting guests and officials during the tournament. Nissan EVs at the UEFA final included Nissan LEAFs and e-NV2000s.
The UEFA final took place in Milan, where Nissan is partnering with the clean energy company A2A to sponsor the installation of 17 public electric vehicle chargers, most of which will remain free after the UEFA final.
Nissan was given the honor of transporting the UEFA trophy to the Duomo di Milano fan festival on Thursday in a special e-NV2000 and then to the San Siro stadium in a LEAF on Saturday, May 28th, the day of the match.
Nissan also sponsored the UEFA final last season, which took place in Berlin. There, Nissan installed charging ports and provided EVs at that event. According to Gareth Dunsmore, the Director of Electric Vehicles for Nissan Europe, the brand was excited to be able to do it again in Milan.

Now that spring is here, many more cyclists will be out and about. As drivers, we have to make room for them and respect their right to share the road. Driving near bicycles can be nerve-wracking, but if we follow these safety tips, we can make the road safer for cyclists.
First of all, you should understand that bicyclists are legally allowed to bike on the road, but they are not allowed to bike on the sidewalk, so don’t complain about them being in the road. If there’s no bike lane, you just have to deal with going slow for a while. It won’t kill you, but you could kill them, so keep that road rage in check.
Be very cautious when turning, especially making left turns. You may not realize how fast a bicycle is coming toward you and end up causing a collision, so it’s best to wait for them to pass. Always signal before changing lanes or turning, too—this is a given, but especially when cyclists are around.
Just be courteous, pay attention, and accept that cyclists aren’t going anywhere—and that isn’t a bad thing.

The winners will be honored at the WardsAuto Interiors Conference, which will take place on May 11th in Detroit.
Driving to work can be a pain, especially during hours of heavy traffic. If you have a few coworkers that all drive the same route to work, you should consider sharing the car with them instead of sharing the road. Check out these great benefits of carpooling.
Saves you money – By splitting gas costs with coworkers, you end up saving much more money than you would driving to and from work on your own.
Helps the environment – Less cars, lower emissions! Fewer cars on the road means less carbon dioxide and other gasses polluting the air.
Frees up the road – Fewer cars on the road means that your commute time could be cut down. Even three less cars could make a difference in your morning commute.
Convenient – Despite what you may think, carpooling is convenient! You can ride with the same people every day, or join different ones each day, all depending on your commute. Flexibility makes carpooling convenient.
Helps you make new friends – You work with your coworkers, but how often do you spend time with them? Carpooling helps you get to know them better and form new (maybe even lasting) friendships.

The glove box isn’t the part of a car many people give a thought to. Along with the center console bin and side door storage, the glove box is often used as a catch-all for Happy Meal toys, expired insurance cards, and shopping receipts. To ensure that you can find what you need, when you need it—like your registration when you get pulled over—follow these tips on how to organize your glove box and maximize your storage space while enjoying a clutter-free car!
Make piles. To start your glove box-cleaning adventure, go through the bits and pieces of riffraff in your glove box, sorting it in to different piles. Keep in the glove box what you absolutely need—no, that doesn’t include your child’s Frozen toy—and throw away or move to another place anything you don’t need. Shred expired insurance cards, throw away expired coupons, and make sure everything that is to stay in your glove box belongs there.
Use some elbow grease. Before you begin gathering everything that is staying in your glove box, make sure you give it a quick once over with a simple solution of dish soap and water to clean up the dust inside. Lysol wipes also work, along with any number of the dashboard car cleaners out there. For something other than vinyl or plastic, a lint brush can also do the trick.
Focus on organization. As you begin to place objects back into the glove box, try to make it logical, keeping your registration and proof of insurance together and making it easy to access your owner’s manual. Also, using plastic sleeves to hold everything is always a great idea, along with book marking pages in your manual that you will use often.
By following these tips on how to organize your glove box, you will ensure yours always stays tidy! Do you have any tips you would like to share? Tell us about them below!
