Nissan is applying its exceptional performance know how to its EV industry leadership with the Nissan IMs EV Sports Sedan concept. Making its debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show, this fully electric all-wheel drive sports sedan demonstrates the current peak capabilities of Nissan Intelligent Mobility™ and radiates high-end refinement.
“This bold Nissan IMs concept represents the birth of an entirely new segment of vehicle – an elevated, electrified sports sedan,” said Denis Le Vot, senior vice president, chairman of Management Committee, Nissan North America. “It makes sense that the first automaker to bring the world a mass-market EV would bring you the future of the electric high-performance sports sedan.”
The Nissan IMs EV Sports Sedan concept boasts an electric powertrain with dual electric motors that deliver a whopping 483 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. With its 115-kilowatt-hour battery, the IMs EV sports sedan boasts an estimated range of 380 miles on a single charge, making it as practical as it is powerful.
Embracing the three pillars of Nissan Intelligent Mobility™ — Intelligent Driving, Intelligent Power, and Intelligent Integration — the Nissan IMs EV Sports Sedan concept offers Autonomous Drive mode, which conveniently signals to other drivers that the vehicle is in self-driving mode by turning the headlights and rear combination lights blue.
The exterior of the vehicle looks sleek and futuristic (yet decidedly like a Nissan), but the IMs EV stands out from other concept cars with its revolutionary Premier Seat. This seat is centered in the rear row and oversized, providing enhanced comfort for rear-seat passengers.
If you’re wondering what the future of travel might be, look no further than the Nissan IMs concept. In the meantime, check out the best of what’s around at Blackburn Nissan.
Compact crossovers are red-hot these days, and they don’t get any hotter — or, for that matter, cooler — than the 2018 Nissan Kicks. The all-new Kicks balances every consideration of what you’d want in a crossover, from tech and intelligence to style and poise. The result is an impressive vehicle that’s got quite a lot to offer.
On the inside, the Kicks is cozy and comfortable with a clean, stylish layout, Zero Gravity seats, and 93.9 cubic feet of total passenger volume that tops some of the segment’s stalwarts. For shopping and taking trips, the Kicks offers 25.3 cubic feet of space behind the second row and 32.3 cubic feet of space with the seats down. Whether it’s bringing the kids to school or running out to pick up groceries, the Kicks has you covered.
The 2018 Nissan Kicks is an ideal choice for the individual thanks to Kicks Color Studio, which allows you to customize your ride down to the finest detail. Not only do you have the option to select a contrast roof, but you can match it to your choice of the door handle, mirror cap, bumper accents, wheels, and spoiler. The result is a vehicle that is definitively and completely all yours.
To experience why the 2018 Nissan Kicks is no mere compact crossover, stop into Blackburn Nissan for a test drive.

Back when it first made its debut on the market, the Nissan Armada—like other full-size SUVs—wasn’t built to be a smart, technology-packed vehicle. However, 2017 is a new era, and the new Nissan Armada for the 2017 model year makes use of plentiful tech to compete in a segment and automotive market that increasingly rely on connectivity features to sell vehicles.
It doesn’t disappoint, thanks to new safety systems, a new Around-View monitor, and various other strides in performance that make it a great off-roading vehicle.
The Around-View Monitor is useful in multiple situations, from backing up, to changing lanes on the highway, to navigating difficult terrain. This is due to its ability to display a bird’s-eye view of the area around the Armada. Additionally, the Nissan Armada has several of the most “basic” safety tech systems, like blind spot detection and lane departure warning.
The Nissan Armada is also built on the same Patrol platform as the Infiniti QX80, which means you get the look and space of a luxury-class vehicle for a fraction of the cost. Premium features like a 13-speaker Bose audio system, an 8-inch color touch radio, and LED exterior lights come standard on the Armada, too, so you won’t be missing any amenities, either.
The new Nissan Armada offers a ton more features for families in need of a large hauler, so make sure you check out the new 2017 model year loaded with technology and luxury materials. We’ve got the new Armada on our lot here in Vicksburg. Be sure to stop by Blackburn Nissan to check it out!
Cars with manual transmissions—the fearsome “stick shift”—get a bad rap. But once you learn to drive one, there are plenty of advantages to a manual transmission—just as automatic transmissions have their pros and cons. Here’s a rundown of how to decide between manual vs. automatic.
Automatic cars are easy. You brake to put the car into drive or park, and the car shifts to the right gear for you as you speed up. It’s convenient and lets you keep your full attention on your surroundings. However, automatic cars are more expensive than manual cars, and their fuel economy and acceleration tend to be worse.
So while you get more bang for your buck with a manual, there are also plenty of drawbacks. Most cars are automatic, so your choices for a manual are limited, and they can be difficult to handle, especially in dense stop-and-go traffic that requires a lot of shifting. Plus, since most people aren’t looking to buy manual, you might have trouble reselling it.
If you have the time to develop the skill, manual could be a better, cheaper option for you, but automatics are great too! It all depends on your preference.
The new Nissan Maxima has been redesigned specifically to make it one of the sportiest sedans on the market today. The new 2016 model really takes the self-touted “four-door sports sedan” identity to the next level thanks to a full redesign, including an improved platform and powertrain features. The Maxima is now 2.2 inches longer and 1.3 inches lower to the ground than the previous model, giving it an even more aerodynamic look and driving experience.
The new Maxima also has a new exterior design, which looks sportier than the previous model but also brings the Maxima closer in looks to the rest of the Nissan lineup. For example, it now has the famous V-shaped grill design, comes with bold exterior styling overall, and offers tons of great trim options and extra features as well. The trims go from the baseline S trim all the way up to the Platinum trim, which comes with LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, and premium leather seats.
The Maxima is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 with 300 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque, combined with a continuously-variable transmission (CVT). The powertrain is a front-wheel-drive setup, and lets it go up to 60 mph in just six seconds. With all that power and luxury, the new Maxima is obviously the best choice in the luxury sedan segment. Come see us at Blackburn Nissan to learn about the Maxima and the rest of our lineup today.

When you think of Nissan, models like the Altima and Sentra and words like “reliable” and “affordable” generally come to mind. However, in North America, Nissan is following the market and moving its focus to new Nissan crossover models like the Murano and Rogue. New car customers increasingly want a balance of performance, size, and efficiency from their vehicles, and Nissan delivers that thanks to the CUVs.
“The U.S. market (is) moving so quick right now away from traditional sedans to crossovers,” John Martin, senior vice president-manufacturing for Nissan North America, said to WardsAuto. “The dealers were telling us, ‘We’re seeing this switch.’ And we don’t see that switch as stopping.”
Here at Blackburn Nissan, we certainly don’t see it stopping either, so come see us here as soon as possible to check out the beautifully designed Rogue and Murano. Or, if you’re still a sedan man—or woman—we’ve got plenty of those for you as well. Come see our whole inventory today!
At the recent Detroit Motor Show, and then again at the New York Auto Show, Nissan revealed the 2015 Nissan Maxima concept car. The new Maxima is a sports sedan and it breaks out of conventional design strategies.
The best way to describe the new design is “unconventional.” It’s all about how sporty it can be and what kind of power it can have. And it has power! The Maxima has a 3.5-liter V6 engine and can achieve 300 horsepower.
The design itself looks like something straight out of the future. The chrome bar that spans the top of the grille all the way to the headlights is accentuated by the boomerang shape of those lights. The Maxima is low to the ground and the wheels are near the corners, making for smooth driving and controlled turns. It has keyless entry and a great infotainment system.
The new Maxima is still in production, but you can expect to see it here at Blackburn Nissan soon.

The 2015 Nissan Xterra is ready for adventure! This fun-loving utility vehicle was built for on- and off-road driving and the interior is packed with great features. Some of the Xterra’s new features include NissanConnect™ with a 5.0-inch color display, USB connection, mobile apps, iPod® interface, Bluetooth, hands-free texting, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Like the Frontier, the Xterra is also available in a new color. The starting MSRP for the 2015 Xterra is $23,660 making it a great value.
