If you’re a fan of either small cars, super fast cars, or perhaps even both, you’re in for a treat with the new Nissan Versa Note Nismo. The Versa Note Nismo, the latest in the Nissan lineup to receive the special and souped-up Nismo treatment, brings some much-needed extra power to the Versa Note’s small segment. The Versa Note Nismo will make its first appearance this fall in Japan, where both a Nismo and Nismo S version will premiere.
According to Jalopnik, the new “package includes upgraded tires, custom sports seats or optional Recaros, a new aero and appearance package,” and so on. While no exact powertrain or performance specs have been released just yet, we’ve already seen what a red-striped Versa Note looks like—and it’s hot. So hot, in fact, that it just has to be fast—nothing less would be acceptable.
Of course, after seeing what a Nismo upgrade did to vehicles like the Juke and the Sentra, we’re not worried about performance here at Blackburn Nissan. We just want to make sure we get a chance to see this baby in our own showrooms some day. There are no plans to bring it to the U.S. right now, so start getting your appeals written right now! Come see us at Blackburn if you need any help with the wording—or if you just want to check out some awesome Nissan vehicles.
Every year Nissan finds new ways to excite drivers. Less than a year ago, Nissan introduced the next big thing when it comes to in-car entertainment and connectivity. Drivers around the world love the new NissanConnect with Mobile Apps system in their new Altima, Rogue, Sentra, and more!
This new system allows drivers and their passengers to stay connected while out on the road. NissanConnect uses information from hand-held devices to personalize the driving experience. Drivers can connect with their social media sites such as Facebook through their in-car infotainment system. Drivers can also enjoy apps like Pandora Radio and iHeartRadio while cruising down the interstate. Along with apps, the system can also connect you to others via text messaging and Bluetooth. For example, drivers can get their messages read to them and respond completely hands-free.
The NissanConnect system is so innovative that it received an award at the Telematics Detroit Conference for being a cutting-edge Industry Newcomer. People who voted for the award liked the system’s ability to keep people connected while being able to focus on the road, a huge issue in among drivers across the globe.
The newest NissanConnect with Mobile Apps system is available on some of the models we carry here at Blackburn Nissan! Swing by the dealership to see how Nissan’s system can work for you.
Nissan wowed the masses at the 2014 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) by unveiling two new models that both represent Nissan’s goal of connecting with more drivers than ever: the 2015 Murano and 2015 Versa Sedan.
The 2015 Nissan Murano made its world debut, standing triumphant as the new halo crossover/SUV for the brand and looking more than a little bit like a bigger, badder version of the Sport Sedan Concept in its bold orange coat. The Murano gets the V-motion front fascia, LED boomerang lights, and the floating roof that have become such an integral part of Nissan’s dynamic new design direction.
“Murano owners live in an environment – home, work and car – that is beautiful, well-designed and efficiently run. They are social and embrace technology,” said Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President, Chief Planning Officer (CPLO) of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. “The new Murano had to embrace all of these values, while also taking a major leap forward in terms of its ‘Wow’ factor.”
Nissan also unleashed the 2015 Versa Sedan, which is already on its way to showrooms around the country (including ours right here at Blackburn Nissan). The new Versa Sedan will sport an upgraded exterior, including a new front end with larger headlights and chrome-plated grille, and an interior that still boasts more interior room than a great many midsize sedans. With a starting MSRP of $11,990 and fuel economy up to 31 mpg city/40 mpg highway/35 mpg combined, the new Versa sedan is a surefire hit for those looking to get new car quality without the new car price.

Cars.com recently released their “Top 10 Cheapest New Cars You Can Buy” list last week. On that list were two of the most affordable cars on the market, the Nissan Sentra and Nissan Versa Sedan. To create the list, Cars.com studied sticker prices, fuel efficiency, and destination fees. This was the first time Cars.com has done this specific study since 2008.
Overall, Cars.com wanted to let consumers know which vehicles offer the best bang for the buck. They were looking for vehicles that were not only efficient and affordable, but vehicles that still contain great interior features and performance. Both the Nissan Sentra and Versa are able to offer just that!
The Sentra was described as offering a “class above” look and feel. Cars.com noted its efficient 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that is able to get EPA-estimated 34 combined mpg*. The Sentra was also noted for its excellent interior features including a Bose Premium Audio System, NissanConnect™ with Navigation and iPhone integration, and more. The Versa was noted for featuring a 1.6-liter engine that is able to get an EPA-estimated 40 mpg on the highway*. The Versa also stood out for its comfortable interior and luxurious look.
Be sure to check out the Nissan Sentra and Versa at our dealership near Jackson, Mississippi. At Blackburn Nissan, we have an excellent lineup of new vehicles to choose from!
