Nissan NP300 Navara Pickup Aims at the Crossover Market

Upon unveiling the NP300 Navara crossover pickup, Nissan has revealed its goal of combining the off-roading capabilities, durability, and capacity of the Navara with all the refined comfort and luxury of a crossover. The all-new vehicle brings the style and quality of a car to the practicality of a pickup truck.

A tough chassis has a host of engineering innovations and features to enhance handling, and the NP300 Navara itself utilizes the same crossover platform that was used to create reputable vehicles such as the Juke, Qashqai, and X-Trail. In addition, the NP300 Navara makes use of such cutting-edge safety features as an Around View Monitor, Forward Emergency Braking, Cruise Control, Hill Descent Control, and Hill Start Assist.

Inside, the design of the seats was inspired by NASA technology, while the sculpted design of the dashboard gives the cabin an open feel. The engine is a 2.3-liter dCi engine, considered the cleanest and most economical in its segment and touted as 24% more efficient than previous engines.

The NP300 Navara crossover pickup has improved towing and load capabilities as well to keep up with the pickup market, while also maintaining the stylish design cues and comfort of a car. Four-wheel drive capabilities also ensure the vehicle has just enough traction off the road as on the road. Overall, the Nissan NP300 Navara fuses smooth luxury with rugged practicality.

2016 Nissan Titan XD’s Classification is Hard to Define – In the Best Way

There’s a lot to love about the handsome, rugged, and powerful 2016 Nissan Titan HD–but the thing that may attract the most buyers is its classification (or lack thereof). Thanks to the Titan’s 5.0L V8 Cummins engine that puts out 310 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque, and a steel frame that’s more powerful than most ½-ton models, the XD technically falls somewhere between ½-ton and ¾-ton classifications.

The 2016 Nissan Titan XD boasts the efficiency of a diesel engine, but maintains the power to tow a massive 12,000 pounds, making it the best of both worlds. According to trucktrend.com, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD’s classification falls somewhere between a V8 gas-powered ½-ton and a diesel-powered ¾-ton, offering a completely new option for truck enthusiasts looking for efficiency and power, not one or the other.

Add to the XD’s power and efficiency a rugged, athletic design, and a modern, comfortable, and spacious interior, and you have a workhorse of a pickup that can also handle a daily commute and long family road trips without breaking the bank.

Here at Blackburn Nissan, we can’t wait to get our hands on the 2016 Nissan Titan XD. Look for more details, including official fuel economy numbers and pricing, to be released later this year!

Redesigned Nissan Titan: Ready to Play and Work

If the new Nissan Titan were your friend, it wouldn’t be the kind of friend to suggest you sit on the couch all night and watch an entire season of The Walking Dead. Yes, those kinds of friends are cool, but the Titan would be friend who convinces you to rock climb, build a house, and get outside!

The Titan hasn’t been redesigned since 2003 and this time around, it’s ready to play and ready to work. Nissan unveiled the new Titan, with its XD Crew Cab, at the Detroit Auto Show. In this form, it can seat up six passengers.

Nissan was proud to show off the 5.0-liter Cummins diesel powertrain, lending the Titan a total of 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. These are the kind of numbers that will serve you well for a trip to the lake or to the lumberyard.

Making it a veritably modern truck, the redesigned Nissan Titan comes outfitted with a host of safety features such as “surround-view camera system, blind-spot warning, and moving-object detection,” according to Consumer Reports. We at Blackburn Nissan can’t wait to take a new Titan out for a spin!

We at Blackburn Nissan have great news: the Titan is back and better than ever. Nissan recently debuted its new lineup of next-generation full-sized pickups. Showcasing rugged design, impressive capability, and much improved efficiency, the Nissan engineers didn’t hold back.

The 2016 Nissan Titan lineup will consist of several new cab, bed, powertrain, and model configurations such as the Titan Crew Cab and Titan King Cab, as well as the 4×4 and 4×2 models. Engines range from V8 and V6 gasoline and diesel engines. According to Nissan, the new 5.0-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel is also available.

“The full-size pickup segment in North America is a market where Nissan sees an unmet need–the towing and hauling power of a heavy-duty with the drivability and comfort of a light-duty,” said Fred Diaz, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing. “Nissan is coming back into the market full-force with this new Titan XD, which does just that. We think that full-size truck buyers are going to take notice.”

The new lineup will feature the best in towing, utility, and convenience, such as RearView Monitor with Trailer Guides, Around View® Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), Trailer Light Check system, and Blind Spot Warning. With this new technology, rugged design, and impressive powertrains, the new Titan is putting other pickups to shame.
