Though you’re no doubt still recovering from your Thanksgiving feast, it’s time to start looking ahead to the holiday season proper. This time of year, Vicksburg comes alive in celebration of the season, and you have plenty of opportunities to take part. Here are just a few of our favorite ways to celebrate Christmas in Vicksburg.
In the evenings, it’s ideal to take a drive past all of the area’s gorgeous plantation homes to soak up their splendid holiday décor. Across the South, you won’t find yuletide beauty as you will right here in Vicksburg. If you’re looking at taking a special holiday staycation, many of these lovely plantation homes also serve as bed and breakfasts, giving you the perfect setting for an intimate and memorable weekend break.
No Christmas in Vicksburg would be complete without an afternoon with Santa himself. This year on Dec. 9, you can bundle up the kiddos and head over to the Vicksburg Convention Center for the 16th Annual Breakfast with Santa and Magical Adventure in Candyland.
From Dec. 14-16, The Warren Central High School Madrigal Dinner & Singe Feaste provides a full four-course dinner, music, and a play. You’ll want to purchase your tickets in advance, so mark your calendars now.
